Tithing/Stewardship

today at church the lesson was about Stewardship, and then during church the message was about tithing. How often we take for granted that GOD gives us the ability to create wealth and then when He gives us $10, we get to keep $9. How we can't out give God, how He puts money in unexpected places for us, like that $20 that got in your billfold that you didn't even know was there, etc. How that He blesses our crops, the work of our hands, etc. We can tithe the firstfruits of our harvest by sharing with the neighbors or giving to the poor. How we can tithe with our time. He gives us 24 hours a day, give Him 10 percent. He gives us 7 days a week, give Him 10 percent, etc. give it in Praying, in giving, in blessing others, etc. If He blesses you monitarily, then tithe on the money. What he was saying, and was exactly how I had thought, that we can tithe on our time, though our talents and charity. TYJ We cannot outgive the Lord!!

Nursing home services, visiting the elderly, being a foster parent, etc.. pleases God.

I got this answer in prayer today... the reason we are to weep at the birth of a child and rejoice at the death of a saint is because we don't know the future of the child, but we do know the future of the saint.

a man at Hopewell (Richard B) came up to me after church this morning and told me that on Friday he was at work and the gospel station they had playing became static and so he went to fix the radio and it went to a country station and this song was playing and before he knew it hewas bawling and tingling and just the presence of God all over him. actually his wife Susan brought him over to me and had him tell me the story. He didn't want to tell me at first, but she knew that I would really want to hear about it. He said that he was a bit embarrased about it because it wasn't his personality to cry, he said that he guesses he is becoming and old softy. - but I told him no, that when the spirit of God touches us like that - we have no control over our emotions. our soul longs after Jesus and that I have similar experiences from time to time at home. - I told him he needs to start a spiritual/journal and write things like this down to have to help him see what God is doing in his life. God is doing great miracles in this family. their granddaughter samatha has had pollops and had treatment but the last one that came healed on it's own accord (well, with prayer), and their son donnie had an accident on a tractor and busted up his knee and should have been killed when 150 pound coil fell on him. But God spared his life and he was at church last sunday (a week ago) and would have been there this week but Christie had to work. (he can't drive). He goes for constructive knee surgery this Thursday. But I know that God spared his life. TYJ

i got to witness another miracle this week when I saw Sis. Johnson hand Nancy a tithes check from her daughters disability. Sis. Nancy had tears come up in her eyes. I don't know how much the check was for, but I know that it was just what was needed. God is God!!

Clara and her cousin Mary were at church again this week. this was the second sunday. - see all those prayers for two years or more, is being answered! TYJ

God kissed me today!!

Today I turned around in church and there was Ms. Clara and her cousin Mary sittin there. I have invited Clara for over 2 years and today she came. TYJ!! so awesome!!
